Terms of Service

Effective November 2, 2026

Welcome to Tiny Advocate. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Laura Endicott, doing business as Tiny Advocate, a sole proprietor based in Chesapeake, Virginia, USA ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using Tiny Advocate, you agree to these Terms. We've tried to keep them plain and fair.

1. Who can use Tiny Advocate

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. Tiny Advocate is for parents, guardians, and other adults helping a child with their education. Children may not create accounts. Please only add information about a child you have the right to manage.

2. Not legal, medical, or educational advice

Tiny Advocate is an organizing tool. It helps you keep papers, dates, notes, and meetings in one place. It is not legal, medical, or educational advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client, doctor-patient, or any professional relationship. Anything shown in the app, including summaries, transcripts, or suggestions, may be incomplete or wrong. For decisions about your child's rights, health, or education, please talk with a qualified attorney, advocate, doctor, or educator.

3. Your account

Keep your login details private and let us know at help@tinyadvocate.com if you think someone else has accessed your account. You're responsible for activity under your account.

4. Your content

You own everything you upload, including your child's records, emails, notes, and recordings. You give us permission only to store, process, and display that content so we can provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the right to upload it. If you record meetings, you are responsible for following recording-consent laws and your school's policies.

5. Subscriptions and billing

6. Canceling and refunds

After cancellation, you can download your documents before your access ends, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time.

7. Fair use

Please don't misuse Tiny Advocate: no breaking the law, uploading harmful code, trying to access other people's accounts or data, overloading or reverse-engineering the service, or using it to harass anyone. We may suspend or close accounts that do these things, and we will tell you why when we can.

8. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Tiny Advocate running, but it's offered "as is" and "as available," and we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Please keep your own copies of important documents. We may improve or change features over time. If we ever shut down the service, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice so you can download your information.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost opportunities, or outcomes of any school, legal, or medical decision. Our total liability for any claim relating to Tiny Advocate is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater. Some places don't allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you.

11. Indemnity

If you misuse Tiny Advocate or break these Terms or the law, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in or serving Chesapeake, Virginia. Before filing anything, please email us first. Most concerns can be settled with a friendly conversation.

13. Changes to these Terms

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top and let you know by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Tiny Advocate after that, you accept the updated Terms.
